Hey Everyone,
I've decided that at the end of each month I will now do favourites posts! One post for each group of favourites from that month, the groups being... Beauty, Fashion, and Non Beauty!
I feel this would be a nice addition to the blog and give you all an insight to what i'm loving at the time!
So, on with the first of the January favourites...Beauty:
1. Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation:
I know a lot of people favor the Healthy Mix Serum over the Foundation, but I just love it! Its creamy, sinks into the skin, whilst looking natural and not cakey! I would say its medium/buildable coverage, it can become a little shiny throughout the day but a quick powder application solves that! I use the shade 51 Light Vanilla, this will be a definite firm favourite for the next few months!
2. Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude:
I reviewed this recently (HERE!) and I just can't get enough of it! Almost like a gel eyeliner its very creamy, and has extraordinary staying power for a drugstore brand! The shade Nude is especially good for the waterline, it helps to open up the eye making them look bigger and more awake!
3. REN Active 7 Radient Eye Gel:
I made a REN order just after Christmas and received four samples with it, this was one of the samples and it has lasted me since then only running out this week... much to my disappointment. As it says in the name this is a gel so slightly different to other eye products I've used before, which tend to be creams! It is a clear gel and sinks into the skin really quickly. I use the eye gel at night and my eyes feel hydrated and smoothed in the morning.
However now its finished I'm on the look out for a new eye cream, I would love any recommendations you might have!
4. MAC Creme-Cup Lipstick:
Creme-Cup was a gift at Christmas and my new favourite nude Lipstick! So wearable for anyone and a great natural looking lip. I also reviewed this recently (HERE!) I can't see myself getting bored of this anytime soon! I highly recommend MAC lipsticks even though the price is on the high side, in my opinion they are worth every cent!
5. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:
A lot of Beauty Bloggers and Gurus have been raving about this product for a long time, and I jumped on the bandwagon mid December. I have to say I agree with all the hype! Effaclar Duo is a fantastic product as it works as a "Corrective and Unclogging Anti-Imperfection care" treatment whilst being paraben-free! I apply this product morning and evening in the areas of my face and neck where I'm prone to spots or breakouts, and I have to say it really works. I've noticed less frequent breakouts, and any imperfections that do occur clear up a lot faster than usual! So, I will be using this for as long as it keeps working!
