Mid Week Must Have: Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Liner 132 Sweet Pink

today's Mid Week Must Have is the Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Liner in the shade 132 Sweet Pink.

With the colder months comes the trend of berry/deep red lips, so some of you might be on the hunt to find a lip liner to keep those lipsticks in place. A liner helps to prevent a colour from bleeding, it can also help to define the lips and create a sharper edge as well as adding to the longevity of the colour.

I was looking for a nude liner as I think they are the most versatile due to the fact that you are able to wear it under any lipstick nude, bright, or dark. This Maybelline lip liner was the closest match to my own lip colour I could find so I immediately picked it up to give it a whirl. I apply a lip liner in the traditional way... By just drawing out the outline of my lips to create a frame in which to apply the lipstick, but also to help prevent the colour from bleeding or smudging. I know a lot of people now like to fill in the whole of their lip first with a lip liner but I sometimes get dry lips therefore I prefer to just apply to the outline, as I find filling in the whole lip can accentuate the dry parts.

This liner is the perfect colour as its not noticeable. It is also strangely creamy, it reminds me of a cream to powder blush as it has the same kind of consistency.  It has helped to keep my lipstick in place and prevent the colour from bleeding. However I cannot comment on the longevity due to the fact that I tend to re apply lipstick throughout the day. 

All in all for what I need it to do I think this is the perfect lip liner, the fact that it is the same colour as my lips (which trust me was very difficult to find) already sets it apart in my mind.
