Hey Everyone,
Monday morning internet surfing lead me to see yet another celeb had taken up the new trend of colour dying there hair, and this time not the usual rinse (that is so in fashion at the moment) but a very vibrant blue. So I thought I would share my opinions on what I thought of this latest trend!
Cher Lloyd not only decided to mix up her look by choosing to go blue but by choosing to go a vibrant bright blue, unlike the colour rinses that have been popular recently. From what I can see she has taken quite a lot of slack for this new change, but I think why not shes young and the shade definitely suits her!
The new girls on the block, Little Mix at The Brits... both Perrie and Jade are working this trend, and I think it works for both of them. Little Mix are great role models for young girls and teens everywhere, I love that they are not afraid to be individual within their group and show their own personalities. Who ever said girl bands had to be matchy matchy!
Perrie's purple rinse is super cute on her, and I love the way she uses hair accessories. For most people with her pale skin this colour would wash them out but she really knows how to style it, and is doing a great job! Jade has the blue rinse, it is a lot harder to add in a pop of colour when you have dark hair (I would know, I tried so many in my teenage years!) but this subtle blue really works being edgy but still showing her cute personality!
When I first saw Helen Mirrens new due I loved it, especially because her age has not hindered her ability to try new trends (as it does with so many others)! As much as I respect her for breaking boundaries the more I look at this picture the more I think it just doesn't quite work for her! In my opinion the shade doesn't really work with her skin tone although I love the cut! To be quite honest even if it doesn't really work I still can't stop thinking... you go girl!
Kelly Osbourne's choice of a similar shade to Perrie's (Little Mix) has me undecided in some ways I think it suits her (and her personality) and then other times I think she would look so much more pretty with a lovely brunette shade, especially with this elegant dress!
Oh Christina really? as much as I love ombre this is a step to far, maybe if she had left it at the faded out purple rinse it wouldn't be so bad... but the pink is like barbie gone wrong! I'm loving her new curvier self so here's hoping she gets the perfect hair so match soon!
For me I think this trend definitely is very individual to different people, it either suits you or it doesn't. As for me its not something I would be rushing to try, maybe 5 years ago but I don't really think i'm the type of person who could pull it off! If you do love this look the website Xtras (HERE!) are selling the La Riche Directions Semi-Perm Conditioning hair Colour for £3.99 in a range of amazing colours which would be perfect for this trend!
So what do you think of this new trend?
